Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a progress-aware encyclopedia, we never sell it, and deleting your account really deletes it.

What we collect

• Account data — email, display name, sign-in provider (email, Google, or Discord), and your reading/watching position.
• Your log — notes, bookmarks, poll votes, and progress history. Notes are private to you and never published.
• Guest progress — without an account, your position lives in a single signed cookie (pk_progress) on your device. It identifies a chapter, not a person.
• Reports— what you send us, plus the page and your position at the time (shown to you in the form before you send it). Guests may attach a contact email; it's used only to answer that report.

Who processes it

Supabase hosts the database and authentication. Resend delivers transactional email. Sentry receives error reports with personal data scrubbed. PostHog counts pageviews and product events without query strings. Each processes data on our behalf; none of them — and no one else — gets it for advertising, and we never sell it.

Retention & deletion

Your data lives as long as your account does. Deleting your account (Settings → danger zone) immediately and permanently erases your profile, notes, bookmarks, votes, and progress history. Reports you filed are kept for the encyclopedia's quality record but are permanently stripped of your identity. Deletion is confirmed by email.

Cookies

Session cookies keep you signed in; the signed pk_progress cookie carries guest progress. No third-party advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Your rights

You can see and change everything we hold about you in Settings, and delete it entirely there too. For anything else — export requests, questions, complaints — the support page reaches a human.
